Where's all the fresh food??

For most of us in the United States, access to fresh food is never an issue or concern. Unfortunately, for those living in urban centers, like San Francisco's Tenderloin District, there are no grocery stores nearby. Imagine having to get your week's groceries at the corner store where their main stock is liqour and tobacco. It makes life a little more complicated - especially since the majority of residents don't own a car!
The San Francisco Chronicle recently ran an article entitled, "Tenderloin struggles to get local grocery store" - our prayer is that it will raise awareness and that grocery stores wouldn't pull out of areas that are in desperate need of fresh, healthy food.
